This two-hour webinar highlights the California Building Code (CBC) amendments during the 2022 Intervening Code Adoption Cycle. These amendments will be published on January 1, 2024, and will become effective on July 1, 2024. In addition to Chapter 11B, other amendments that affect accessibility will be discussed, such as the plumbing code, existing building code, and CALGreen electric vehicle code.

Learning Objective 1:

Attendees will gain insight into the various sections of the amended building code. 

Learning Objective 2:

Attendees will learn the impact of amended code sections on the accessibility provisions in the California Building Code. 

Learning Objective 3:

Attendees will learn the documents provided by the proposing agencies during the rulemaking process, such as final express terms and statement of reasons.

Attendees will learn the timeline from the adoption of the codes to publication and the effective date.
